October and November 2011 Update…What a great 2 months!

Well, it’s been a busy last couple of months. And it’s been fun. Between weddings, Halloween parties and events, and birthday parties I worked my tush off, and having a blast!

The Munster’s Mansion event was great. The weather held off, giving us two beautiful nights of weather. Attendance was up and a lot of families enjoyed the mansion, some being introduced to the Munsters for the first time.

And to toot my own horn…I received unique statement from the Fahey/Smith wedding on November 12th. She wrote, “Anyone would be crazy not to have you perform at their event. I still can’t even begin to describe how amazing you made the night for everyone.”

November ended up with the mixer for The Holiday Inn Express & Suites-DeSoto on the 30th. I had my doubts on the attendance since it was on a Wednesday night right after Thanksgiving but we ended up with a lot more people than I expected. It was very relaxing and the food was great, as usual.

December will end the year with a bang. My bookings are up and it’s going to end 2011 the best year since the economy tanked. Yippeee! I love entertaining people and making them laugh.

2nd Annual Dracula’s Blood Drive

Bill And Laura Piper’s Wedding on 9/2/2011

DJ Log 20110903…Had a great time with Laura and Bill Piper at their wedding reception tonight. Everyone was having fun dancing to some old classics proving Disco Lives!

Everyone enjoyed the food from My Sister’s Affair Catering, there was a large spread to choose from.

And their photographer, David Pellerin from Studio Blue, and I worked flawlessly creating the perfect flow. He got some great pictures! I set them up and he captured the memories.

DJ Log 20110813…Happy Birthday to Suzanne Beasley. We had a 70′s/Disco theme party for her birthday. Everyone got into the theme wearing clothing from the era. We had a blast with great disco and classic rock music. We even did The Hustle.

I found out recently I was nominated for an award for The Best of the Southwest which a local newspaper was running. The category? Best Wedding Planner.

Hey, I’m a DJ. But I guess some people out there liked what I did when I was directing their weddings. Go figure.
